Genuinely surprised how bad Vessi shoes are and yet they are so highly rated!
These are hands down the worst shoes I've ever worn. I've had $40 shoes from amazon, and stiff dress shoes that were more comfortable than these. The problem is the ergonomics. The arch area is sunken in, instead of having arch support, and the heal and toe areas are slightly raised. This causes arch pains, plantar fasciitis, and throws out lower back alignment for me and my wife. Luckily I have plenty of insurance to get therapy but these shoes can cause damage by just walking in Vancouver for more than 15 minutes for me. As I bought them on sale, I cannot refund them unfortunately.
They are waterproof, but these are brutally designed in terms of ergonomics. I'm very surprised that this issue is only brought up by a few reviews below - are my pair and my wife's defective? To be fair, my friends all have Vessi's and they said don't walk in them for long as they are not well designed, but I think I really hate them more than they do.

Hi SJ,
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We're very sorry to hear that your shoes aren't a good fit for you.
As a casual/city shoe, Vessis do provide relatively low arch support - some people love this whereas some people don't. This is why we made the insoles removable so you have the option of using your own inserts for more customized fit and comfort. That said, we will certainly share your thoughts with the rest of the team as we feel it is important to take into consideration all of the feedback we receive from our customers.
